One week to go!

Well, we have one week until we leave foggy and cold England to travel to Oz. Sarah, my wife, and I are busy packing and sorting - so much rubbish to sort out. I finished work yesterday and it was sad, with lots of pupils and staff giving me presents and wishing me luck. I really enjoy work at Bassingbourn Primary - I will miss it but will be back in a year. It felt quite surreal leaving yesterday as I'll be back, hopefully full of interesting and enjoyable experiences. In the evening there was a staff do in Cambridge. The starters were good then there was a power cut and we left after about an hour with no food forthcoming. A few of us, including my headteacher, Jane, went to get a cheap bite to eat at Nandos. Then Sarah and I went to Regal for a pint or two. A bit of an anti climax to it all. Wonder what pubs and retaurants will be like inAustralia? I don't start work until end of January so will have plenty of time to find out! We want to explore and travel.
